Pennsylvania's medical marijuana proposal underwent some changes before a state Senate panel voted this week to support the measure.
The Senate State Government Committee on Tuesday voted 10-0, with one member not voting, in support of Senate Bill 3.
The measure now heads to the Senate Appropriations Committee for review before a vote by the full Senate. Senators last year approved a medical marijuana bill, but the 2013-14 session expired before a House vote.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf has said he would sign a medical marijuana law. State Government Committee Chairman Mike Folmer, a co-sponsor of the bill, said he believes the Legislature could send Wolf a measure before summer recess, CBS-3 reports.
