Michigan students stranded at prom as pot brownies lead to limo driver arrest

The best laid plans of Detroit-area high school students went to pot on Thursday night, after their limousine driver was arrested and taken away by police, leaving them stranded at the prom.

As the end of senior prom rolled around at a banquet center in Warren, Michigan, a group of students from nearby Berkley high school were blocked from boarding their party bus-limousine hybrid by the school’s principal after some of the students were “doing things they were not supposed to be doing”, according to a parent of a youngster who was part of the group.

The students were then told to call their parents for a lift home.

Returning to the party, two students were reportedly taken ill, prompting employees at the Andiamo Banquet Center to notify police.
