RCMP discover pre-loaded marijuana resin syringes
Following up on tips from the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement community, RCMP executed a search warrant and discovered a little more than one kilogram of marijuana and 43 hundred in cash.
This is nothing out of the ordinary, however during the search they spotted a vehicle with about 40 grams of pot visible in the front seat. According to Boyle RCMP Constable Matt LaPointe, that lead to another warrant, and that search revealed something far out of the ordinary.
“While we searched that vehicle we located about 100 syringes of cannibis resin. Apparently a new method actually of using cannibis marijuana where the user actually injects it through a syringe. Something we haven’t really seen in our area here too much until now. It’s apparent to us that these syringes came in from BC.”
