Two dozen US states have now legalized cannabis in some form or another, from recreational to very strict medical regulations. Over half of the US states on Canada’s borders have some form of medical marijuana laws on their books. British Columbia finds itself with legal marijuana (both ‘recreational’ and medical) at its northern and southern borders. And it’s not just the US. Countries from Uruguay to Australia have been figuring out how to manage some form of regulation, with some of them even looking to Canada’s MMPR for guidance.
