Watch: Alberta mom's journey to Ontario to get medical cannabis for her epileptic daughter

An Alberta mother whose eight-year-old daughter has severe epilepsy needed to travel to St. Catharines to get a medical marijuana prescription filled.
   
The girl's doctor said he was no longer allowed to provide permission to purchase the product.
     
Two years ago, 2013, Sarah Wilkinson started extracting cannabis oil from dried marijuana, purchased from a licensed grower with a prescription.
     
But in July, the physician declined to renew the prescription because of a hospital policy based on the position of Alberta Health Services.
    
On Monday, a doctor in St. Catharines provided a prescription for dried marijuana, which her mother had filled with federally licensed producer Bedrocan.
