Earl Shilton cannabis factory shut down in drugs raid
A cannabis factory has been shut down in Earl Shilton as part of a crackdown by Hinckley police.
Members of the Hinckley Police Dedicated Neighbourhood Team executed a drugs warrant on a property and seized a “quantity of cannabis”, the force said.
The factory was discovered following a patch walk by Hinckley police and staff from Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council’s anti-social behaviour team on the street a few days before.
It is one of a number of raids carried out in the borough over the last few months as part of a crackdown on the growing and supplying of illegal drugs.
PCSO Mike Walker said: “We are asking if any members of the public have any concerns about illegal drug activity then please report this by either calling 101 in a non-emergency or alternatively you can report confidentially by calling crime stoppers on 0800 555111”.
