Bad news for cannabis users, the new marijuana breathalyzer may be available as soon as next year for clinical trials according to Cannabis Culture on Saturday. It looks like a modern invention may make it easier for police to determine if a driver is marijuana impaired on the spot.

The new marijuana breathalyzer is beginning clinical trial as early as next year in Oakland, California at Hound Labs, Inc., according to report announced this week. “The idea is that law enforcement will have one device out on a road test for both THC [the cannabis chemical] and alcohol,” Dr. Mike Lynn spokesman from Hound Labs Inc. said.
