E-cigarette traders in Gloucester are the latest to warn against dangers of 'vaping' cannabis oil

Young people have been warned – do not use cannabis oil in e-cigarettes.

An 18-year-old woman is on the road to recovery after police suspect she tried to consume the substance using a vaporiser.

She was left in a 'serious condition' and was rushed to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Friday.

Police believe the teenager purchased cannabidiol online, a cannabis derivative.

Arif Ali, who works at Vape King, which specialises in e-cigarettes in the market in Easthate Shopping Centre, said: "Many people think that these liquids are on the same level as vape liquids but they are totally different.

"There needs to be more awareness of the differences between the liquids.

"This liquid is even more dangerous than naturally grown cannabis because it can be entirely made from chemicals. I always advise any customers that come in and ask for that product to stay away from it."
