Marijuana Doesn't Bother Young People, Study Suggests

As more states push to legalize marijuana, views of the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States are continuing to evolve, despite the substance still being classified as a Schedule I narcotic by the federal government. While the majority of Americans now favor legalizing the drug, there are some who believe passing medical marijuana laws “sends the wrong message” to young people by encouraging usage and minimizing risks. A common belief among socially conservative Republicans, this argument is being challenged by the nation’s up and coming leaders.
