Patients in the GTA can now receive medical cannabis within a single day.

MedReleaf, Canada’s premium licensed producer (LP) of medical cannabis, is offering same-day delivery service to patients in Mississauga, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Brampton, Markham and Toronto.

“Everything we do is driven by an unwavering commitment to our patients, the desire to lead Canada’s medical cannabis industry and to strengthen our position as the country’s premium licensed producer,” said MedReleaf CEO Neil Closner. “Being Canada’s premium LP means every part of the patient experience should be premium and health-focused.”

There are no restrictions on order size for the same-day option. However, it applies to dried flower, oils and exclusive capsules.

The company is charging a $15 flat fee for delivery through a special arrangement with Canada Post.

Earlier, the medical cannabis was being delivered through Canada Post’s regular service, which could take two to seven business days, depending on the location of the patients. 

“Same-day delivery is also an important contribution to public health and safety in the GTA. Same-day delivery is even more convenient than going to dispensaries or other unregulated channels,” said Closner.
