A Toronto-based, organic superfood company recently launched an instant CBD latte mix.

Each serving of CBD + Golden Mylk Turmeric Instant Latte is packed with cannabis compounds like CBD, THCV, CBDV and CBG. It also contains “a blend of other medicinal compounds, including terpenes and flavonoids, as well as turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, saffron and dairy-free, shelf- and heat-stable Bacillus Coagulans (a beneficial bacteria that helps in treating infections) probiotics,” notes Ally Mamalider, director of business strategy at Organic Traditions, in an email.

The mix is coconut-based, vegan, keto and dairy-free. It also contains no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and that means no added high with a morning cup of Joe. “All it needs is hot or cold water,” says Mamalider.

While CBD and THC don’t mix in water, the company notes that it has “a proprietary process that allows us to take the CBD resin and extract it to a dry powdered flake. This allows us to include it in the latte formula.”

With the CBD mix, Organic Traditions—a family-owned and operated business specializing in organic, and superfood products which was first launched in 2003—is expanding its current line of dairy-free, probiotic Instant Latte’s product line

The company’s Instant Latte product line has four existing flavours, including Turmeric, Matcha, Chocolate and Beet—CBD + Golden Mylk Turmeric Instant Latte is the first cannabis-infused product.

The infused latte mix will be available online starting October 14. “The Turmeric Latte with CBD, specifically, is only manufactured in our U.S. warehouse, which is located in Buffalo, NY. The CBD Latte will not be available for sale in Canada, rather only available in the U.S. until the laws in Canada change to allow CBD,” Mamalider says.
