2 Marijuana Stocks To Watch In March

Are These Cannabis Stocks On Your March Watchlist?

On February 23rd the entire stock market was down. This presented a good chance to find top marijuana stocks to buy at lower prices. Moments like this can be a good opportunity for investors as prices start to dip. Now just because you buy the dip does not always mean that a particular cannabis stock will immediately recover. Sometimes it may take a bit to see some momentum pick back up.

3 years ago you could only buy legal weed on First Nations, now some say the industry needs a 'red market'

Three years ago, before the federal government legalized cannabis, you could buy it on many First Nations in Ontario.

In some cases, these pot shops were totally legal, opened with the permission of their chief and council.

In many other communities, these dispensaries operated in a legal grey area.

That has now gone on for years and there is a growing push to set laws surrounding the sale of cannabis on reserves, especially as dozens of provincially-regulated stores are opening and eating into the market.

Huge East Ladner greenhouse about to step into lucrative Canadian cannabis market

A large-scale East Ladner greenhouse operation, that’s made the switch from vegetables to cannabis, is about to enter the market.

Partnering with AgraFlora Organics International Inc. to create the new entity Propagation Services Canada Inc., Houweling Nurseries announced this week that by this summer it will have its first commercial crop for sale.

“We have made recent modifications to existing infrastructure which has allowed us to significantly increase our drying capacity and increase revenue for summer 2021,” said general manager Ruben Houweling in a news release.

The venture will see the eventual conversion of the entire 2.2-million-square-foot greenhouse.

B.C. cannabis sales doubled in 2020, but Okanagan retail market still tough

Canadians spent more than twice as much cash in legal cannabis stores last year, as licensed retailers across the country rolled up $2.6 billion.

In British Columbia, the figure is even higher. Numbers recently released by Statistics Canada show consumers were flocking to legal weed stores spending $370 million last year compared to $117 million the year before – more than a 217 per cent increase.

The dollar amount shows that after a ropey start at the beginning of legalization, more consumers are turning their backs on the black market and are heading into legal pot shops.

Will Cannabis NB be sold soon?

Cannabis NB could be a thing of the past if the New Brunswick government opts to move forward with selling the provincial retailer, negotiations around which have been ongoing since last fall.

Global News reports the N.B. government has been in talks with a potential suitor since October. At that time, “negotiations started with the top-ranked proponent,” and the agency is in the final stages of negotiations at this time, said Cheryl Hansen, deputy minister of the Department of Finance and Treasury Board.

Terpene Profiles May Shape the Future of Cannabis

It’s fascinating how people choose their cannabis products, especially terpenes and flower.

It wasn’t that long ago when the only option was cannabis flower via a local unregulated dealer, and likely only one or two options were available at that.

The “I will take what I can get” strains were the most popular because, well, that was all that was available.

Zoom forward to today, and cannabis is legally available in several markets for medical and/or adult-use purposes, and the options are staggering.

Here's How Some Cannabis Industry Leaders Are Working to Dismantle Systemic Racism

Cannabis is not the only industry that can act as a microcosm of the world but it may be the most prominent. Cannabis is still federally illegal so there are many areas in which people can be turned away from participating due to previous arrests for cannabis.

During the Fall Emerge 2020 Virtual Cannabis Conference & Expo, Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM) Founder and CEO Roz McCarthy led a panel discussion with industry-leading advocacy organizations. Together, they addressed the myriad concerns surrounding social equity within the cannabis industry.

Data Can Play a Huge Role in Accelerating Your Cannabis Business' Growth

People often categorize particular talents or behaviors as "right-brain" or "left-brain" thinking. Individuals who are right-brained lead with intuition and creativity. People often describe them as free thinkers. On the other hand, left-brained people are thought to be more quantitative, analytical—the data heads.

While there's some truth to where certain brain functions lie, scientists also know that reasoning and creativity are not mutually exclusive. As a person who has spent the last three decades in advertising, branding, entertainment, and the digital landscape, you might assume I lead with the right side of my brain. But creativity is often inspired by hard data rather than gut feelings.

Designed to Grow: Creating an Optimal Indoor Facility

Cultivation, one of humanity’s oldest crafts, is undergoing radical transformation. And it has cannabis grows to thank for it.

The roots of farming go back more than 12,000 years as hunter-gatherers established agrarian communities to centralize food production, sharing the work and harvest.

Naturally, these early societies recognized that certain crops grew in abundance in certain climates and cultivated those crops that allowed their civilizations to thrive.

With trade, commodity crops grown in one area became highly prized and profitable elsewhere – from the Far East spice trade to finding fresh papaya in a New York City bodega.

The cannabis industry can’t follow this simple, ancient calculus.
