The Bespoke High Is the Future of Marijuana

A California company makes weed vaporizers to suit every mood—here’s what happened when I tried them.

I’d been traveling for work—to Europe then to Asia then to Europe again while pinging back-and-forth from L.A. to New York. For months my carryon contained the sneakers that I didn’t use in the hotel gyms I never visited. I was exhausted to the brink of tears since previous to this spate of travel. I had a schedule so rote I could give myself jetlag by sliding lunch up half an hour.

July 1, the day recreational marijuana could be sold legally in the state, is just around the corner.

Medical marijuana dispensaries in the state will sell the products.  During the last week in June, marijuana growers are racing against the clock to distribute as much product to dispensaries as possible.

They're trying to do it all ahead of the weekend rush.

Taking on the theme of Black Friday, many shops are planning to open its doors at midnight leading into Saturday.

Is Italy The Next Frontier For Legal Cannabis?

One of the most interesting, relevant and perhaps shocking places to study cannabis is Italy. Mostly known for other crops like tomato and olive, Italy was actually one of the world’s top cannabis producers in the first half of the 1900’s. Cannabis has served many roles through Italy’s recent history: as a centerpiece of a thriving industry, as an illegally trafficked narcotic, and as a consumable product used both medically and recreationally. Cannabis was widely grown as an industrial crop used in everything from ropes and rigging, to sails for ships, clothing, bedding, and other commercial applications.
