Recycling cannabis related products in Canada just got easy

Although the lack of recycling programs has often proved to be a stumbling block, Canadian cannabis producer Auxly may have a free of cost solution.

Auxly recently announced its partnership with electronic waste (e-waste) recycling company Greentec to create an in-store, free of cost program for retailers for the recycling of vape pens, cartridges and batteries.

The initiative is led by Kolab Project, an Auxly brand that produces biodegradable pre-rolls, edibles, vape cartridges, and disposable pens “while championing arts, culture and design,” according to the company.

One-third of BC’s legal weed consumers buy online: survey

lthough British Columbians have typically handled cannabis transactions face-to-face, it’s no surprise that a third of the province’s licit market shoppers now prefer to shop in the absence of other people.

That’s according to a recent survey, commissioned by P.E.I.-based producer Figr Brands, Inc., showing that 33 per cent of B.C.’s cannabis consumers prefer online shopping — slightly behind the national average of 43 per cent.

B.C. has been relatively slow to warm to the idea of private online sales, but made a permanent regulatory change last week to allow click-and-collect for licensed retailers. Pre-pandemic, you could only make online purchases on the provincial store’s website.

Types Of Marijuana Known To Ease A Hangover

For the same reason that cancer patients rely on weed to fight the nasty effects of chemotherapy, a person with a hangover can use it to keep from loitering on the bathroom floor.

The hangover that comes after a night of heavy drinking is a cruel reminder that we are delicate beasts that, no matter how much Bukowski we wear on our sleeves during the celebration, we can’t hold our liquor worth a damn. But no matter how many times we’ve been slumped over the toilet, dry-heaving in ways that make us look like an old cobra that was sold to a circus sideshow for a dime bag, we continue to engage in this lunatic behavior as though we are incapable of learning a lesson.

What’s the Difference Between Marijuana CBD And Hemp CBD?

Although CBD oil and hemp oil are both low in THC, the difference in the amount of CBD these products contain is huge.

There is a lot of noise reverberating throughout the United States these days regarding cannabidiol (CBD). It is the primary non-psychoactive chemical of the cannabis plant, beneficial in the treatment of a variety of conditions from epilepsy to chronic pain. Some patients believe CBD has the most medicinal benefit of all the cannabis compounds. But most of them do not realize that there are actually two versions of this product on the market. One is created from hemp, while the other marijuana.

So, what’s the difference?

British Columbia Update on Accessing Cannabis Delivery Services During COVID-19

Despite the legalization of recreational cannabis in Canada, cannabis delivery services by private retailers to customers remains illegal in many provinces, including British Columbia.

In British Columbia, the terms of a non-medical retail license to sell cannabis do not permit the licensee to offer or provide a delivery service for non-medical cannabis, or otherwise engage the services of a third party to provide such services in respect of the licensee’s retail establishment. However, in light of the changing business market and social distancing requirements resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, some provinces are changing the way in which non-medical cannabis products may be accessed.

Survey aims to find out what makes Newfoundland and Labrador cannabis purchasers tick

An assistant professor of pharmacy in St. John’s hopes a survey she’s conducting on cannabis usage in Newfoundland and Labrador will shine a light on what influences the choices purchasers make when they buy product.

And a Newfoundland-born professor in Virginia says he already has a good idea what factors are keeping the black market afloat in Canada.

Memorial University’s Jennifer Donnan is leading the survey, which is backed by the Canadian Institute for Health Research, and says they’ve already received a great deal of information since starting interviews a month ago.

There’s Probably Too Much THC In Your Marijuana

Legal marijuana products contain extraordinary levels of THC, which could cause dependence and mental health issues with habitual use.

The marijuana you see in stores today isn’t like what the hippies rolled in the 70s. If you follow cannabis news, you have likely heard some version of that sentiment by a public health official. Last year, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams claimed that today’s cannabis “ain’t your mother’s marijuana” but was three times stronger than weed in the 1990s.

Study Shows Similarities in Millennial and Boomer Cannabis Preferences

Millennials and Baby Boomers love a good feud, but it looks like smoking a bowl together might put some of that angst to rest after all. According to a recent study from Verilife, a dispensary operator under the PharmaCann umbrella, there are more similarities than differences when it comes to how cannabis users from both demographics partake in the leafy green.

Pot possession pardons relatively simple to obtain, says retired Sarnia lawyer

For the many Canadians convicted of cannabis possession before 2018, the federal government’s legalization of the recreational use of marijuana did not automatically eliminate their criminal records. And those records can still have a negative impact on their lives.

A simple pot possession conviction from the past can lead to numerous problems today. They can impact the ability to work in certain professions, the chance to go to school, the opportunity to become a volunteer, or the ability to access housing.

Michigan Orders Cannabis Recall Over Licked Joints

The Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency reports that a number of pre-rolls have been contaminated with human saliva.

State regulators in Michigan issued a recall order for pre-rolled joints sold at more than a dozen retailers over reports that an employee in a marijuana processing facility licked the products as they were being made. The recall order covers cannabis pre-rolls manufactured by 3843 Euclid LLC, a Bay City company licensed by the state Marijuana Regulatory Agency (MRA) as a processor for both medical marijuana and adult-use cannabis products.
