The Hydropothecary Corporation ("Hydropothecary" or the "Company") (TSX Venture:THCX) is pleased to sponsor the second anniversary Women Grow Toronto event, featuring Arlene Dickinson of CBC's Dragons' Den fame. As a leading medical cannabis producer, Hydropothecary recently signed the largest cannabis supply deal in history, in which it will be the preferred supplier to the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) of an estimated 200,000 kg of dried and oil product over five years. The event, being held at The National Club on April 20, 2018, is expected to attract more than 200 women entrepreneurs either working in the cannabis industry or aspiring to join it.

The 4/20 event is the latest in a series of Women Grow events aimed at encouraging female cannabis entrepreneurs across Canada. As keynote speaker, Ms. Dickinson will discuss her journey as an entrepreneur and the future of cannabis in Canada.

Hydropothecary is a strong supporter of gender parity, and as such supports multiple women-focused events, such as Women Grow. The company recently supported the National Women's Show and is a key backer of the 2018 Businesswomen of the Year Awards in Ottawa, being held tonight.

"Women have leadership roles every day at the Hydropothecary, from the greenhouse to the executive suite, so we believe in paying it forward when it comes to encouraging women in industry," says Sonia Isabel, Vice-President of Sales.

"It's been inspiring to see so many women come together to develop this new industry, and to see women respond to our discreet and convenient smoke-free products. We're honoured to encourage Women Grow's efforts to meet, share and create a strong female voice."

Women Grow Toronto's Two Year Anniversary event will take place on Friday, April 20, from 6.30pm to 10pm.
