OTCMarkets update: Block One Capital, Newgioco Group and more

The OTCMarkets were mixed on Thursday afternoon, with the OTCQX US and the OTCQB Venture slightly down.

Block One Capital Inc (OTCQB:BKPPF) announced the completion of a US$2mln non-brokered placement. The blockchain investment company plans to put the money towards its investment portfolio. Shares of the Vancouver-based company were up 5.4% in afternoon trading.

Renewable energy company Ocean Thermal Energy Corporation (OTCQB:CPWR) reported plans to acquire two engineering firms. Although the company’s release didn’t name names or talk numbers, the company sees the acquisitions as a way to further project development. The Pennsylvania-based company uses the temperature difference in water to produce electricity and desalinate ocean water. Shares were down 5.5% this afternoon.

Cannabis company Relevium Technologies Inc (OTCQB:RLLVF) has created two new brands, Biocannabix for the Canadian market and LeefyLyfe for consumers outside of Canada. The Montreal-based company develops products for the health and wellness sector. Shares of the company were up nearly 7%.

Newgioco Group Inc (OTCQB:NWGI) has taken the next step in uplisting to Nasdaq by submitting its application to the exchange. The New York-based tech company provides lottery and gaming products and services throughout Europe via neighborhood betting shops and online. Shares of the company jumped nearly 8%.
