Matthew McConaughey just got “Snooped”.

The actor appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday to promote his upcoming comedy “The Beach Bum”. McConaughey, 48, reflected on one particular scene with co-star Snoop Dogg.

“There’s a scene where I’m going to Snoop because I’ve got writer’s block and Snoop has the magic weed,” the leading man told Kimmel. “So I went to the prop man to make sure I have the prop weed, which is like crushed oregano.”

The clever old Dogg, however, intercepted McConaughey and managed to swap the fake stuff for the good, good stuff.

“We pass [the joint] back and forth and all of sudden at the end he goes, ‘Yo Moondog’ [McConaughey’s character], that ain’t prop weed, that’s Snoop Weed’ and I was like, ‘Oh, you son of a gun,'” McConaughey remembered.

“The next nine hours were a lot of fun but I don’t think we used one word in the English language.”

McConaughey stars opposite Isla Fisher in “The Beach Bum” with supporting acts Snoop Dogg, Zac Efron, Jimmy Buffett, and Jonah Hill.
