The 25,000 square-foot facility, licensed for cannabis cultivation, processing, and medical sales, is owned by Zenabis Global.
The facility ceased operating in late 2019 and has new oil extraction equipment ready for purchase as well, reports the Delta Optimist.
According to the sales listing, the company is selling the facility as it consolidates operations within its Metro Vancouver facility.
“Although the facility was utilized primarily for cultivation, the intent was to operate the facility for processing and third-party analytical testing in addition to internal analytical testing for the Vendor’s larger global organization,” reads the listing.
Two weeks ago, Zenabis reported its second-quarter 2020 financials, posting revenues of $27.4 million and a net loss of $15.8 million for the three months ending June 30, 2020.
In March, the company laid off nearly a quarter of its workforce and announced that it would be selling one of its facilities in an effort to become cash flow positive, reports Marijuana Business Daily.
Zenabis, like other licensed producers, might have bitten off more than they could chew. At full capacity, the company has said its four facilities could produce 480,000 kilograms of cannabis.
In the first year of retail sales, Canadians purchased 88,676 kilograms of legal cannabis.
