How CBD can save skin from the cold weather

As the weather turns, people venturing outside will need to forgeto about sandals and swimsuits and opt for more layers. But bulking up is not the only issue; one of the biggest drawbacks of the cooler temperatures might be your skin.
As the weather gets cooler, skin may feel less hydrated than it did all summer, and may experience itchiness, breakouts and even chapping.
Once the weather chills, CBD applied topically has been reported to help with some of skin’s top woes. Here’s why.
Hydrates skin
Studies have found that topical CBD products can help hydrate the skin. That’s because of the infusion of oils and Vitamins A, C and E that can help moisturize and protect the skin. It’s also thanks to the antioxidant-rich properties of CBD.
Antioxidants are important because they can help protect against free-radical damage that can result in skin looking more dehydrated and with more fine lines and wrinkles.
Look for a product that contains pure CBD oil, plus other oils like grapeseed, coconut, jojoba, marula or oregano oil for best results. If chapped lips are the issue, look for a CBD-infused lip balm that can help lips stay hydrated, too.

Soothes and calms
Have you ever found more red spots or breakouts as soon as the weather starts to turn? Studies show that CBD can help regulate and stabilize skin function.
CBD is also anti-inflammatory. That means it may help reduce acne and redness, as well as it may inhibit oil production that makes for fewer breakouts over time.
Helps with skin conditions
Some people with skin conditions such as eczema or atopic dermatitis find that these only worsen or become itchier as the season’s change. CBD has also been reported to be effective in helping with common skin conditions because of it’s anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
That said, if a person also takes medications for skin conditions like eczema, always confirm with a dermatologist that it’s safe to add CBD skincare to a daily regimen before starting to do so.
