Good Day Iced Tea contains 5 milligrams of THC

The Boston Beer Co. Inc. is launching a line of cannabis-infused iced teas under the brand TeaPot.

TeaPot is the company’s first infused beverage offering and will launch in July in select Canadian provinces. The drink blends tea with specific cannabis strains to enhance specific times of the day. Its first release, Good Day Iced Tea, is made with real lemon black tea and infused with Pedro’s Sweet Sativa, grown in Ontario by licensed producer Entourage Health Corp.

Each 12-ounce can of TeaPot contains 5 milligrams of THC and is crafted to minimize any cannabis taste or aroma. TeaPot will introduce additional varieties in the coming months.

“TeaPot purposefully pairs the right tea with the right pot for the right occasion,” said Paul Weaver, director, head of cannabis at The Boston Beer Co.

"Each can is precisely dosed for social gatherings with friends and family.”

Canada’s infused beverage market share has increased nearly 850% since 2020, according to Headset retail data, and is about two times the size of the U.S. cannabis beverage market, The Boston Beer Co. said.

The Boston-based company makes brands including Samuel Adams, Truly Hard Seltzer and Twisted Tea.

“While beer is our middle name, we've also introduced successful hard teas, hard ciders, hard seltzers and canned cocktails,” said Dave Burwick, Boston Beer CEO. “We're encouraged by the continued growth of the cannabis beverage category, and we believe it's one of the next innovation frontiers. As we await further progress on U.S. regulations, we'll continue to develop an exciting product pipeline in the federally regulated market of Canada.”
