A Visit To British Columbia’s Canna Farms

Late this spring, Lift had a chance to visit Canna Farms’ medical cannabis facility in Hope, British Columbia. Nestled up against the Coastal and Cascade mountains in the Eastern Fraser Valley, the facility currently covers a little over 7,000 sq ft, with room for expansion over time.

Canna Farms was the first producer to receive a license to produce (LP) in British Columbia in early 2014, and has been operating somewhat under the radar compared to many other LP’s, with no flashy presence or even social media presence at all until they opened a Facebook page in June. They emphasize that they are a small, family operation, with fewer than ten full-time employees, with father Ray Laflamme and son Daniel Laflamme co-owning and managing the day to day operations along with a crew of less than ten other people.
