Academy Award-winning ping-pong impresario and political activist Susan Sarandon responded to a shout out in A$AP Rocky and Action Bronson’s new single “1Train” this week by reaching out to the two rappers, via Twitter, with an invitation to “blaze one” sometime in the future.
Sarandon has never backed away from expressing her love of marijuana, and has recently also expressed an appreciation for Burning Man and psychedelics.
This exchange between the 68-year old Sarandon and two rappers has got some callingher “the coolest grandma ever,” which is on some level lame and reductive, but, okay, also probably true.
She’s not the only big female Hollywood star willing to openly express her love of marijuana, though. Coolest grandma runner-up Jane Fonda told Dujour that she smokes marijuana from time to time, and in January Stevie Nicks told Rolling Stone that she uses marijuana to stoke the creative furnace when writing new music.
