423 plants uncovered in disused house in Bridle Way

A cannabis farm with a street value of £1.6m was busted by police yesterday.

On Tuesday, Merseyside Police seized 423 illegal plants following reports of suspicious activity at a disused property, where electricity had been tampered with, on Bridle Way, in Netherton.

Here are some of the force’s other major cannabis farm busts.

Candia Towers, Everton

The discovery of a £10m cannabis den in an Everton high-rise was the biggest skunk factory ever uncovered by Merseyside Police.

Three flats on the fifth floor of Candia Towers, in Jason Street, were transformed in to a professional and sophisticated set-up where more than 2,000 plants were being harvested.

Police reckon that the factory was capable of generating cannabis with a street value of £10m each year.
