Cannabis legalisation support stronger in Halton than UK average according to petition data

Map shows dark green blob of support over constituency but backing is lower in neighbouring Weaver Vale

Halton appears as a dark green blob on a map showing relative levels of support for the legalisation of cannabis based on the number of constituency residents who signed a petition backing decriminalisation. Darker shades of green indicate higher levels of support for legalisation.

A cannabis map has revealed that support for the legalisation of cannabis is stronger than the UK average in Halton.

Data produced by the Daily Mirror revealed that 375 constituents were among 220,000 UK residents to sign a petition backing the liberalisation of the substance’s sale.

The number of Halton supporters equated to one in every 254 people who lives in the constituency.
