Former cannabis smuggler turned author Howard Marks has talked about having no regrets, as his second memoir Mr Smiley: My Last Pill and Testament is published.

Marks, 70, told BBC Wales arts and media correspondent Huw Thomas he is "living rather than dying of cancer" after being diagnosed a year ago.

The Welshman speaks about how after being released from a US prison in 1995 he looked at becoming involved in ecstasy in Spain but was concerned about the purity of the drug he came across.

Marks, now living in a small flat in Leeds, discusses his attitudes to drugs and why the legalisation of cannabis "is still the one thing I want to achieve".
