Coronation Street's Izzy set for 'serious trouble' explosive new drugs storyline

Izzy Armstrong became the soap's first disabled character in 2010, but a run in with police may be imminent after her cannabis use

Coronation Street character Izzy Armstrong is to be arrested as part of the soap’s drugs storyline .

Viewers have already seen wheelchair-bound Izzy tempted by an offer of cannabis to help cope with the pain of her disability.

Now Corrie bosses have ­decided to crank up the drama by having Izzy, played by Cherylee Houston, 39, hauled in by the police.
