Group promoting medicinal cannabis helps Aberdeen homeless with free scarves

A group promoting the medicinal benefits of cannabis has been hanging hats and scarves around Aberdeen city centre for homeless people to pick up.

Aberdeen Cannabis Social Club, an information-only Facebook group, ran the initiative after receiving a donation from one of its members.

Founding member Scott Kidd, from Aberdeen, said: “They gave us £50, we bought lots of scarves and started wrapping them round poles.

“It’s just one of our initiatives to get things going and get the club out there, let people know that we’re not just crazy people and we want to help.

“I’ve had loads of people on Facebook say they’ve spotted them around town. We’ve got to hope they’ve done some good.”

Scott, 34, stressed that the group was an entirely-legal informational page with around 12 members from various walks of life and of different ages.
