Senate Bill 1511 now heads to the Senate for a vote. The bill would allow businesses with recreational licenses to produce, process and sell medical marijuana products.
The proposed legislation is one of several marijuana-related bills moving through the Legislature during its 35-day session.
The bill also would allow limited early sales of marijuana-infused edibles and concentrates to people 21 and older. Under Oregon's current early sales program, medical marijuana dispensaries can sell only marijuana flower, seeds and young plants to recreational customers. The early sales program began last October and extends until the Oregon Liquor Control Commission launches retail sales later this year.
