It is an unanswered question that, since the Senate writes its own rules and the Liberal government seems happy not to fill in the blanks for the time being, is open to all sorts of delightfully hypothetical speculation.
Such as: could they form a caucus affiliated with the Marijuana Party? Or the Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada? Or, even the Greens, which party leader Elizabeth May said she would welcome as a stop-gap while she continues her fight for electoral reform?
