Jailed cannabis farmer Kristian Roulet continues to puzzle police - from behind bars

Who is the real Kristian Roulet and where on earth does he come from?

The shadowy figure snared at a major cannabis farm in a sleepy, idyllic corner ofWarwickshire remains a mystery man – even after being jailed.

Police are still not certain Kristian Roulet is who he claims to be – or about where he comes from.

The 18-year-old claimed to be French, but an interpreter pinpointed his accent to south-east Europe, possibly Albania.

Roulet has no documents revealing his identity.

What is known is that he was caretaker of a £66,000 cannabis crop that filled a modest, three-bedroomed home in Long Itchington.

Paul McCartney Has Given Up Marijuana

After having spent decades (and a few days in jail) as one of the world’s most famous users of marijuana, Paul McCartney claims that he has given it up. In a new interview, he says that he quit in order to be a better role model to his descendants.

“I don’t do it any more,” he tells the Daily Mirror. “Why? The truth is I don’t really want to set an example to my kids and grandkids. It’s now a parent thing.”

Pair charged in Italian cannabis probe

The 24-year-old woman and 35-year-old man are due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court on Saturday accused of money laundering.

Police arrested the pair in Milton Keynes on Thursday morning. They also seized two high-value vehicles.

The man and woman are the latest to be charged as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of cannabis from Italy to Northern Ireland.

In March, £800,000 worth of drugs were seized in the region during the PSNI-led operation, working with colleagues from the Italian Carabinieri and the National Crime Agency.

At the time, searches were carried out in Belfast, Greenisland, Bangor, Newtownards and Ballywalter – and in the Prato and Bologna areas of Italy.

Psychoactive substances ban 'will end brain research in Britain', experts warn

Drug researchers have warned that a bill to ban the sale of all psychoactive substances will be disastrous for brain research in the UK.

The Home Office bill, outlined in the Queen’s speech, would ban trade in “any substance intended for human consumption that is capable of producing a psychoactive effect”.

Ministers hope to shut down the emergence of new legal highs, which have been blamed for a number of deaths in recent years. But scientists warned that the measure could pre-emptively ban a number of potentially useful new substances.

UK: The government just banned everything

Banned: Substances will now be guilty until proven innocent

Even by the standards of modern legislation, the psychoactive substances bill is startlingly inane. It seems to ban any substance which can cause a mental or emotional reaction. As must be obvious, that's almost everything in the world. Did this taste remind you of your mother's cooking? It's a psychoactive substance. Did it bring you a moment of happiness? It's a psychoactive substance. The government is about to ban almost everything.

This is not, to be fair, the legislation. This is just the advert. But the description of the bill in the Queen's Speech is troubling enough.

What the UK has a Hemp Fest?

It shouldn’t sound all that strange! The UK has been a hemp growing nation since records began and believe it or not once upon a time you could actually get fined for not growing hemp if you had enough land. Queen Elizabeth the 1stwas pretty serious about this plant!

Simply put, the UK and its far reaching empire quite literally wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the super strong properties of hemp, it’s durability and anti-rotting nature meant that out at sea it was uncompetable with. You could say hemp made the world a smaller place way before the invention of the plane

Getting so many pro hemp people in one space all at the same time can only mean good things are about to happen.
