Confused About How Much THC And CBD Is In Your Weed? You’re Not Alone

Turns out, even daily marijuana users have no idea what an effective dose of marijuana looks like.

When you hit up a marijuana dispensary for the first time, you’ll likely be overwhelmed. Like, overloaded to the point where making a purchase seems nearly impossible. You might resort to buying cannabis flower or a pre-rolled joint, but then the budtender will ask for a cannabis strain preference — “Are you more of a Blue Dream or Grandaddy Purp kind of gal?” “What percentage of THC you like, buddy?”

And, oh look, the runaway train of staggering options just rolled off the tracks. You purchase the first suggestion the budtender makes and you consume responsibly while having no clue how high this flower will make you.

Ontario sees cannabis orders top 13,000

Ontario's cannabis distributor has seen online orders triple since COVID-19 started sweeping the country and prevention measures were implemented, with almost one in three orders coming from new customers.

The Ontario Cannabis Store says it received between 2,500 and 3,500 orders prior to March 9, but in the weeks after mass adoption of physical distancing, those orders doubled to 5,000, then doubled again, topping out at 13,000 in one particular week.

In a bid to continue squeezing out the illegal market and keep up with the demand, the distributor has staffed up, lowered prices on more than 240 cannabis products and launched free shipping during COVID-19 to make legal options more accessible.

Ontario Cannabis Store orders quadrupled as stoners stockpiled for COVID-19

Is Ontario’s struggling weed store gaining a new, loyal customer base among stoners in lockdown?

The provincial cannabis store lost $42 million in its first fiscal year, but online sales skyrocketed in the weeks after the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic. As Canadian public health authorities implemented increasingly strict physical distancing measures in an effort to contain the virus, many of us were motivated to hunker down at home and stockpile essential supplies — which, according to figures released today, included a lot of cannabis.

Cannabis Beverages Are Finally Finding Their Way Into Consumers Hands Across Canada

Cannabis 2.0 represents a major opportunity in Canada and refers to the sale of cannabis infused products (edibles and drinkables), cannabis concentrates, salves, tinctures, and more.

Demand for these types of cannabis products has been steadily increasing and this is a trend that we expect to become more significant on a going forward basis. A few years ago, we noticed a substantial increase in the number of Canadian companies that were focused on producing cannabis. When it comes to cannabis 2.0, there has been a much smaller increase in the number of companies focused on the vertical and we find this to be significant.

B.C. liquor, cannabis sales up in March, now levelled off to seasonal norms

When the province declared a state of emergency to support the COVID-19 response in mid-March, BC Liquor Stores (BCLS) saw an ‘uncharacteristic’ increase in customer volume.

“The trend was similar to the increased activity experienced by grocery stores,” a Ministry of Attorney General spokesperson told the Tribune.

Sales figures for BC Liquor Stores (BCLS) or BC Cannabis Stores (BBCS) are not released as those statistics are considered confidential business information, however the ministry provided an outline of sales across the province.
