What is riskier? Study looks at vaping THC versus smoking nicotine

A new study suggests that vaping THC might be worse than smoking and vaping nicotine.

Conducted by the University of Michigan and published in the Journal of Adolescent Health, the study examined the association between respiratory symptoms in adolescents who were current users of cigarettes, e-cigarettes and/or cannabis and who used vapes with THC and/or nicotine oil.

Employing survey results, researchers found that when vaping cannabis, adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 had a greater chance of sustaining lung injury through dry coughs, wheezing and other symptoms that had an effect in their speech, sleep and exercise. The extent and duration of these symptoms are unknown.

Choosing the Best CBD Gummies

If you’ve grown wearisome of old-age methods of consuming CBD, you will absolutely love CBD gummies. They are like squishy candies that are sweet and flavorsome but are jam packed with cannabinoids. You can also find gummies infused with other powerful nutrients such as apple cider vinegar, spirulina, turmeric, and so many more. Since they are a unique type of CBD and are available in many blends, it is overwhelmingly challenging to find the right match for you.

So, follow our guide to find out what you should look for in CBD gummies.

There have been several reports over the past year or so suggesting that people all over the country who use hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) products are failing drug tests. This is apparently happening as the lack of FDA regulations has allowed cannabis companies to be inconsistent in their manufacturing process.

It’s Not All About Potency: What Cannabis Consumers Need To Look For In Their Weed

The full plant profile and all of its compounds are considered important in creating the experiences consumers seek.

Today, it isn’t uncommon to hear about the potency or strength of a cannabis product. Typically, the discussion centers on the percentage of THC or CBD found in a plant strain or its products. Advancements in cultivation and tech allowed potency to balloon over the decades, particularly in recent years as legalization spread across the globe.

However, experts in the space tend to agree that potency is far from the be-all-end-all indicator that far too many make it out to be. Instead, most suggest that the full plant profile and its numerous compounds each play an integral part in creating the plant’s true healing potency and quality.

Cannabis education should aim to normalize — not prevent — safe and legal use

Many of us grew up in a society that prohibited the use of cannabis. When cannabis was legalized in 2018, it was a major shift for most Canadians. How successful have we been in changing the mindset from it being an illegal and stigmatized drug to one that is legal and socially acceptable?

Education about cannabis has been inconsistent across Canada. Evidence to support the best approach for cannabis education and awareness campaigns is lacking and historically focused on risk-based messages to encourage people to “do not use.”
