Love strain-specific edibles but have a hard time finding them? You are not alone! As people learn more about the variety present in cannabis’ many strains, many find that only some of these options give them the effects they are looking for. For those strain-sensitive patients who prefer edibles, this can present a challenge. It’s not always easy to find the strains you need locally, but it can be almost impossible to find them in edibles. Since most edible companies leave the strain a mystery (or mix many strains together) it is hard to find specific strains when you need them.

Many Canadians uncomfortable discussing use of cannabis: survey

Despite the fact cannabis has been legal in Canada for some time, many people are still uncomfortable talking about their use of the substance.

A survey conducted by Maru/Blue, commissioned by cannabis-brand FIGR Brands Inc., found that Canadians are uncomfortable discussing their use with their family and colleagues.

According to the results, less than two in five Canadians--39 per cent--were comfortable discussing their cannabis use with their parents, while only 17 per cent were comfortable discussing it with their boss, and 14 per cent were comfortable discussing it with their grandparents.

Long-Term Cannabis Use Not Linked to Age-Related Cognitive Differences

One of the most common stereotypes regarding the cannabis plant is that it harms the brain.

Cannabis consumers have historically been portrayed by mainstream media, on television, and in film as being less intelligent than everyone else, and that the low intelligence is a direct result of cannabis consumption. This has been repeatedly disproven by scientific research.

Canopy to bring cannabis beverages to the U.S. next year

Canopy Growth Corp., the cannabis company that attracted Corona beer producer Constellation Brands Inc. as an investor, is moving to bring cannabis beverages to the U.S. in 2021.

The drinks will contain THC, the psychoactive compound found in marijuana, in dosage amounts designed to keep people buzzed and social in a similar way to beer, cocktails or wine.

“Just as hard seltzer disrupted beer by providing a lighter, low calorie alternative, we believe cannabis beverages will be an attractive option for what have traditionally been alcohol-driven occasions and mood states,” said David Klein, Canopy’s chief executive officer, in an email exchange with Bloomberg News.

The Question Millions Are Asking: Is CBD Actually Safe?

In a time marked by shuttered business, depressed consumer shopping, and plunging retail spending, not many markets can claim the victory that the CBD (cannabidiol) market has done so far. Back in 2018, sales of CBD products in the United States alone harvested a generous $600 million-$2 billion.

Pot prices at Ontario Cannabis Store rival those of illicit market for the first time

Legal recreational cannabis is beginning to gain ground in its fight against the illicit market, according to new Ontario Cannabis Store data.

A report released by the provincial pot distributor Wednesday revealed that between April and June, legal sources of cannabis made up 25.1 per cent of the total market, an increase from 24.7 per cent in the previous quarter.

The average price of dried flower per gram on OCS.ca fell to $7.05 including taxes during the same period, beating the average price of cannabis on sale through illegal mail-order marijuana sites, which reached $7.98.

"This quarter marks a milestone for the sector on the critical front of pricing," said chief commercial officer Cheri Mara in the report.

Cannabis Consumers' Buying Patterns Sure Are Changing During The Pandemic

Consumers’ purchasing patterns involving marijuana have changed noticeably over the past several months in response to the coronavirus crisis.

Marijuana shoppers are spending more money per visit to recreational retail outlets. But they are shopping less often, perhaps for safety, or scheduling, reasons.

Our heat map of weekly adult-use sales changes in four western states show sales recovering through the year, with retailers benefiting from favorable treatment by state governments that allowed them to stay open or provide curbside service.
