California marijuana laws set for personal use

If you thought Californians got the final word on marijuana laws after legalizing adult use in November, it’s time to think again.

Gov. Jerry Brown and lawmakers recently struck a deal on a plan to blend Proposition 64 and medical marijuana laws previously approved by the Legislature. The goal of the more than 100-page piece of legislation is to help create a singular regulatory system governing pot in California.

The bill touches on a wide range of weed issues from rules for delivery companies to the advent of a special events permit that would legalize marijuana festivals.

Can marijuana cure cancer? This company seeks the answer

Is marijuana good medicine for those suffering from cancer? Definitely. Even the federal government agrees that “cannabinoids may have benefits in the treatment of cancer-related side effects.” Can marijuana cure cancer? That answer remains elusive, but there are no clinical studies demonstrating that marijuana will remove cancerous tumors from the body.

CURE Pharmaceutical, a California-based technology company, revealed last month that it will be conducting a groundbreaking clinical study to test whether cannabis can kill or reduce cancerous cells.

Federal bill would protect medical marijuana states, provide access to vets

A bipartisan group of senators and representatives have reintroduced legislation that would enable states to set their own medical marijuana policies.

That is at odds with a letter U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions sent to congressional leaders, in which he asked that federal medical marijuana protections be reversed.

The Super Heroes Of The Cannabis Industry

Marijuana legalization is a reality for so many Americans now. We have come far, and are closer than ever before to federally legal marijuana. It’s a vastly shared sentiment that we are years away from federal legalization and there is nothing that can stop the tidewater.

Weed legalization is now an American reality. What we are witnessing now is merely the tipping point, coming after decades of foundational work by legalization advocates that didn't always see a light at the end of the tunnel. US Government Wants To Leave Health Care Reform To The States

In 2010, US President Barack Obama fulfilled a longtime Democratic Party dream of starting the nation on the road to universal health care with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (usually referred to as the ACA or, more familiarly, Obamacare). The current president wants to retrace those steps and go in a different direction: Let the states do it. Some are already trying.
