NDLEA Intercepts Cannabis-Laden Truck In Ogun, Nabs Two

The Ogun State command of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has impounded a truck load of cannabis sativa packaged as biscuits and cheese balls.

The 3,542.25kg bags of banned narcotics were intercepted by officials of the NDLEA at the Odeda axis of Ijebu-Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government in Ogun State.

Two suspects – Ihenacho Chinweuba (27) and Uche Enuosa (33) – were arrested in connection with the seizure.

The Ogun NDLEA Commander, Bala Fagge, said the shipment was meant for consumption in Ogun and Lagos states.

“A white Mercedes Benz Truck with registration No: Lagos KJA132XN was intercepted at Odeda axis of Ijebu-Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government.

Domestic situation leads police to pot plants, illegal firearm

SPRINGFIELD, Mich. — What started as a domestic situation Thursday evening eventually lead Calhoun County Deputies to discover and seize over a pound of marijuana, several plants, and a firearm.

Around 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Deputies were called out to the 200 block area of 24th Street for a domestic problem, where several “unwanted subjects” were reportedly present.

The person who had originally called in the complaint had told dispatchers that one of the people there was involved in selling illegal drugs.

When Deputies arrived on scene they observed what they say was evidence of said illegal drugs. They then obtained a search warrant for the residence and performed a more thorough search.

Council directs staff to prohibit marijuana

Yucaipa City Council gave direction to staff to prohibit marijuana cultivation in all zones in the city in a special study session held Monday, Dec. 14.

The study session was held as a result of Governor Brown’s recent Medical Marijuana Reg­ulation and Safety Act, which essentially establishes state licensing requirements for the cultivation, distribution and transportation of medical marijuana. It allows for local control by cities.

If, by March 1, 2016, a city choses not to establish its own set of regulations or prohibits cultivating marijuana, then the state will become the licensing authority.

Two Arrested while Selling 295 Bags of Cannabis Worth N35m for Christmas

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in Ogun State have arrested two suspected drug peddlers
while attempting to sell 295 bags of cannabis estimated at N35m.
 
 
PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspects, Ihenacho Chinweuba, 27 and 33-year-old Uche Enuosa, were on Monday taking the narcotic to some parts of the state and Lagos for marketing when officials of the agency swooped on them in the Ijebu Igbo area.
 
It was gathered that the suspects had loaded a truck with bags of the drug, and covered them with some cartons of biscuits to evade arrest.

Cannabis grow house on wheels busted by breath test

A random breath test and a familiar odour have revealed a cannabis grow house being lugged around in a rental truck.

Police made the discovery at a breath-testing site on Longfield Street in Stawell about 8.10pm on Thursday.

After intercepting the truck a suspicious smell prompted police to search the vehicle.

Inside they found 50 cannabis plants, all about a metre tall, 50 transformers and other crop-growing equipment.

The driver, a 25-year-old Elizabeth South man, was charged with drug offences and will face the Ballarat Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

District of Columbia police announced Tuesday that Nicholas Cunningham, 30, and an employee, Evonne Lidoff, 18, were facing misdemeanor charges of marijuana distribution. They were released after their initial court appearances and ordered to stay away from the nightlife districts where police say they were operating.
