An enterprising Niagara Falls man who became a cannabis delivery driver at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has been sentenced for violations under the Cannabis Act for breaking the cardinal rule: never get high on one’s own supply.

Adam Kowal, 45, has been placed under house arrest after pleading guilty to possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution, Niagara Falls Review reports. Kowal will serve a nine-month conditional sentence, the first six months of which he will spend under house arrest.

A Canadian soldier is facing up to five years in prison after being found guilty of handing out cupcakes laced with cannabis to fellow troops during a live fire exercise.

Unaware they'd been drugged, the soldiers reported feeling intoxicated and confused, and worried about their safety handling munitions after ingesting the cupcakes at Canada's Gagetown base in New Brunswick in July 2018.

In a statement to AFP, the military said Bombardier Chelsea Cogswell was on Wednesday convicted of eight counts of administering a noxious substance to soldiers without their consent and one count of disgraceful conduct.

Art ablaze: Once criminalized for their craft, marijuana pipemakers are now celebrated

Chris Vela dances with fire as he twirls molten glass over a glowing flame. He likens the mesmerizing effects to a campfire – a hypnotic incandescence.

As a contemporary marijuana glass artist, Vela makes translucent electric green bubblers and glistening salmon pink Sherlock pipes. He has hollow-sculpted a real-life horned lizard skull – a blazing orange piece ultimately affixed to a bong of the same color.
