Maryland's Anti-Marijuana Congressman Andy Harris At Risk Of Not Being Re-Elected

Maryland Congressman Andy Harris has been a thorn in the sides of marijuana reform supporters since he was first elected. Representative Harris has used his position in Congress to try to thwart reform efforts in Washington D.C. specifically, first trying to derail decriminalization in Washington D.C., and then once that didn’t work he focused his efforts towards fighting marijuana legalization in Washington D.C.. Andy Harris has led the charge in a big way against marijuana reform in Congress, and it sounds like not only is he obviously on the wrong side of history, but that voters are likely to take him to task for that position.

Illinois Patients Provide Powerful Testimony In Support Of Expanding Medical Marijuana Program

Illinois has a medical marijuana program, which is great for the patients that can participate in the program. However, there are many, many patients that don’t qualify to be a patient in the program because they don’t suffer from a condition that is on the list of qualifying conditions. Medical marijuana helps them alleviate their suffering, and several other states recognize the condition they suffer from as qualifying to become a medical marijuana patient in those states.

What is synthetic marijuana?

On Wednesday, a source divulged that Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones had a bad reaction to synthetic marijuana, which led to his admittance to Norwood Hospital.

Utah Man facing 40 years in prison for selling marijuana

A South Sound man could potentially spend the next 40 years in prison after he was convicted Friday of illegally growing and selling marijuana.

Prosecutors say 37-year-old Lance Edward Gloor and his business partner opened four illegal marijuana dispensaries throughout Puget Sound. The men claimed the shops were non-profit medical dispensaries, but in reality Gloor was making millions of dollars and breaking state laws, according to prosecutors.

Prior to opening the shops, Gloor was arrested in 2010 when police searched his home and found more than 70 pot plants and a firearm.

A mill building will be home to Sanctuary ATC's medical cannabis cultivation operation, complete with a lab and commercial kitchen.

Marijuana Use, Dependency can be Treated by This Drug but With Potent Health Risks

In order to supplement the existing psychosocial treatments on substance abuse, the researchers from Brown University conducted a study on the efficacy of the drug topiramate for treating the use of cannabis in adolescents.

The findings of their study showed that by incorporating the use of the drug topiramate in the treatment together with psychological counseling, particularly the motivational enhancement therapy (MET), the use of marijuana among the youth smokers was suppressed in a significant level as compared to a treatment, which only involves counseling alone, says a public release from EurekAlert.
