Health Canada recalls some pre-rolled joints sold as medical marijuana

Health Canada has issued a recall for some pre-rolled joints.

They say they could be contaminated with yeast, mould and other bacteria.

In Ontario, the pre-rolled cannabis was sold for medical purposes through Shoppers Drug Mart.

Two types of Atlas Growers Ltd.’s pre-rolls were sold between December 1, 2020 and last Wednesday.

The recalled products are Natural History Zour Apples Full Flower Pre-Rolls and Atlas Growers Zour Apples Full Flower Pre-Rolls.

Approximately 11,304 units of the products were sold throughout Canada including through cannabis stores in Alberta, Northwest Territories and Yukon.

Half of young cannabis users in new Western study admit to driving high

New research from Western University suggests close to half of young people surveyed have driven while high on pot.

Many of the youth surveyed said they felt cannabis made them better drivers, says Robert Colonna, 24, a PhD candidate in health promotion at Western.

Others said they would likely drive high in the future and didn’t understand the risks involved in combining driving with cannabis, he said.
