What does it feel like to be high on weed?

A cannabis high is difficult to describe. Still, wondering what a high feels like is a valid concern for people who are considering adding cannabis to their lives.

For all the cannabis content that’s available, it’s difficult to describe the plant’s effect without resorting to giggly movie depictions or people who are spaced out. Weed’s effects depend on a number of factors and cannabis can produce widely different responses.

How Terpenes Enhance Your High

If you’ve spent much time in dispensaries – or with a particularly bud-savvy friend – you may have encountered a term that’s been generating a lot of buzz in the cannabis industry: terpenes.

What Are Terpenes?

Simply put, terpenes are the chemical compounds that give all plants – not just cannabis – their distinct taste, smell and effects. They’re responsible for scents like pine and lavender (and are even used to make essential oils), as well as the bitter taste of the hops in your favorite IPA. And when it comes to cannabis, terpenes are a big part of the reason some strains make you feel sleepy or subdued, while others might set your mind racing with inspiration.

Cannabis Use Associated With Increased Decision Making Skills

Cannabis opponents have a long history of trying to convince members of the public that cannabis is bad for human brains.

According to many cannabis prohibitionists cannabis is bad for human brains no matter what age they start consuming cannabis or what type of cannabis they consume.

The “dangers” of cannabis for human brains are not isolated to certain consumption methods or any other factor according to these types of cannabis opponents.

Their message seems to be that all cannabis is bad for the brain at all times in all situations. Unfortunately for those prohibitionists, science does not appear to back up their claims.

Driving High On Marijuana Might Not Be As Dangerous As Prescription Drugs

DUID cases involving marijuana get tossed out of court a lot of times in legal states simply because impairment cannot be proven. Unfortunately, these punishments cannot be avoided in zero tolerance states.

Ever since states started legalizing marijuana for this reason and that, law enforcement agencies, politicians and anyone else dead set against a pot-progressive America has stood up against the herb. They’re worried that it might lead to an uptick of dangerous drivers on the road. Yep, stoned driving is the new enemy of the nation’s sober soldiers, even though there is no actual proof that operating a vehicle under the influence of marijuana is all that treacherous.

Amazon is dropping tests for marijuana – will corporate America follow?

Amazon certainly isn’t the first major corporation to arrive at the cannabis reform party, but it sure made one of the biggest entrances to-date when it publicly pledged to relax its drug testing policies and also to back federal legalization efforts.

And now it’s a question of how many others will follow — especially during a time when some firms are desperate for workers.

Opinion: Cannabis is the great social experiment that wasn’t

In 2019, the cannabis sector in Canada got its bubble burst; however, its comeback appears promising. Players in the field are slowly getting their footing back and settling into a different North American market versus pre-pandemic. More mergers and acquisitions are pointing to a more mature marketplace. But with cannabis, Canada and the United States offer two different tales.

In Canada, the low point was likely in the spring of 2020 when the number of manufacturing jobs in the Cannabis sector barely reached 2,000. According to the well-known career site, Indeed, the Canadian market presently has over 1,400 openings in the cannabis sector: a remarkable number. Things are certainly looking up for the cannabis sector in the country.
