But if I were to get in an accident on the job, I would be drug tested (even if the accident wasn’t my fault) and would lose my job after they found THC in my system.

The Oregon Court of Appeals last week threw out second-degree criminal mischief charges against a Philomath man following a ruling that the smell of marijuana smoke can’t be considered “physically offensive.”

A new powerful form of marijuana has popped up in New Brunswick, and police are warning about the dangers of using and producing the drug.

Shatter, named for its often peanut brittle-like texture and tendency to break into glass-like shards, is a concentrated derivative of marijuana.

It has a THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) level of between 70 and 99 per cent, said Const. Dylan Lisson, of the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force. THC is the ingredient in marijuana that produces a high.

By comparison, the THC level of standard marijuana is about five to 18 per cent, said Lisson.

Pro-cannabis campaigners are encouraging people in Surrey to come and debate the drug with them.

The group Surrey Cannabis Club want personal use of cannabis to be decriminalised and the medical use of the drug to be legalised.

Today they are hosting what they are calling a 'peaceful protestival' in Stoke Park from 1pm - 5pm.

They are encouraging members of the community to come down and give their views, and discuss the pros and cons of ending the prohibition of cannabis.

The Auto City Speedway in Clio is being transformed into the Cannabis Cup for this weekend's trade show.

Dan Skye, Editor/Chief at High Times Magazine says, "We're show casing the cannabis industry here. Michigan is on the verge of something really, really special."

It's the third time the cup has been held in Michigan and each year it's gotten bigger, with nearly 6,000 people expected to show up.

Congratulations to Oday Aboushi on his one-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substances of abuse policy. Police arrested the Jets offensive lineman in January and charged him with driving while suspended, careless driving, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance after they found “a small amount” of weed in his car. This would usually be a good opportunity to rag on the Jets, but this punishment seems like bullshit.
