Israel: Marijuana decriminalization would penalize users under 21

New details on the legal efforts to decriminalize marijuana that emerged on Monday revealed that Knesset members are pushing to allow Israelis over the age of 21 to hold up to one plant, 15 seeds, and five grams of pot without penalty.

Under the move spearheaded by freshman MK Yinon Magal (Jewish Home party), the plant would be legal for private use, with individuals allowed to keep small amounts of cannabis and derivative products in their homes.

Study Finds 147 Percent Increase in Childhood Marijuana Exposure

As legal marijuana proliferates across the country, one consequence appears to be unavoidable: More young children will accidentally be exposed to pot. It's just entropy, a law of nature: If a child can get its hands on something, he or she will eventually.

Most NBA players want legal, league-sanctioned pot, suggests TMZ poll

Let’s start by saying that TMZ is hardly Pew, Gallup or Quinnipiac when it comes to legitimate polling. And we’ll also say that the anonymous polling of 10 individuals within a large league is hardly proper, scientific methodology.

Growing number of celebrities cashing in on pot business

The number of companies looking to cash in on marijuana is growing, including some with celebrity backers, like Melissa Etheridge, reports CBS News correspondent Gigi Stone Woods.

Etheridge never really fit the rock star image.

"I saw alcohol, I saw what it did. I was too excited about music to let that ruin it. So, all of the drugs days in the '80s and '90s, I really let that go by without ever getting involved in it," she said.

But when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, she said marijuana saved her life.

"It helped with the psychological effects of being on chemo and trying to understand what's happening to you," she said.

Synthetic cannabis more dangerous than skunk

Synthetic cannabis is now considered to be one of the most dangerous of all recreational drugs, according to an annual survey.

This year's Global Drug Survey found the risk of having to seek emergency medical treatment when using synthetic cannabis was 30 times greater than with high potency herbal cannabis.

Synthetic cannabis is among a number of "legal" highs made illegal in 2009.

One of the most popular ones is a substance called Spice.

A synthetic cannabinoid, is a man-made version of cannabis, and contains the same active chemical tetrahydrocannabinol.

The Global Drug Survey got responses from more than 100,000 people in 50 countries.

I Tried a Cannabis Massage and This Is What Happened

I know what you’re thinking: Did it get you high?

That’s all anyone asked me after I got a massage with cannabis cream in Denver, where marijuana is legal.
While I consider myself a connoisseur of spas and weed (only where it’s legal, of course), I still wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from the LoDo Massage Studio. I booked the studio’s signature Mile High Massage using Apothecanna’s Pain Cream, a massage lotion laced with cannabis (plus arnica, peppermint, and juniper—but who cares, right?).
