K-cup coffee pods are going green, just not in the way most would expect. The containers, which are notoriously bad for the environment, are still notoriously bad for the environment, but now there is an option to purchase a version filled with cannabis-laced coffee. According to Yahoo, Uncle Ike's Pot Shop, located in Seattle, is now selling pods of "premium infused coffee" for $10 a pop.

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on ordinances intended to curtail for-profit marijuana crops in unincorporated communities.

After months of work, new rules intended to stop marijuana grows from taking root in rural parts of Riverside County get a public hearing before the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, May 19.

Growing marijuana, indoors or outdoors, for any reason is already illegal.

The Clearlake City Council has rescinded its ban on all marijuana cultivation in the face of a lawsuit and a successful signature-gathering campaign that required the city to either drop the ordinance or place it on the ballot.

Instead, it will amend the previous ordinance — which allowed between six and 12 pot plants, depending on parcel size — to make it easier for police to enforce. The revision will include limiting the number of plants that can be grown to six plants per household under the premise that it’s better to “keep it simple, stupid,” City Councilwoman Joyce Overton said.

Medical marijuana advocates Friday were celebrating the Thursday night vote overturning the ordinance, adopted in late February.

Eddie Miller, the 30-year-old founder of a budding pot empire, doesn’t come off as your typical weed advocate. And yet, his company eCann Inc., is an extensive technology platform for the weed industry that could add more steam to the end of prohibition movement sweeping the country.

“Right now the opportunity is the best because the market is being regulated in many states,” Miller told iDigitalTimes. “Every six months there’s a new revelation and a new revolution that's happening. Even here in New York state in about eight months cannabis will be regulated and there will be a very small amount of patients that will be eligible to purchase medicinal cannabis.”

Making cannabis coffee is now as simple as inserting a pod and pushing a button.

In Seattle, Uncle Ike’s Pot Shop sells pods of Catapult “premium infused coffee” for $10 each. The pods work in standard, single-serve coffee makers and contain 10 mg of THC, a quantity of marijuana's active ingredient that's becoming something of a standard serving for marijuana edibles.

“I liken it to a Red Bull and vodka,” Uncle Ike’s sales manager Jennifer Lanzador said. “I had more energy, but I still had the relaxation you get from cannabis.”

A Missouri woman recently claimed Missouri’s “Right to Farm” constitutional provision as a defense in a felony prosecution for growing nine marijuana plants in her basement. All states have right to farm laws, generally intended to protect farmers from civil suits brought by encroaching suburban neighbors based on things like the smell of pig manure.

Ride-sharing company SideCar is planning on getting ahead of the competition by teaming up with local cannabis distributor Meadow to provide same-day medical marijuana deliveries to residents of San Francisco.

According to reports, the offer of special delivery will be much like SideCar's other transport services, wherein customers receive their package within an hour after making the order. Delivery requests will be made through the dispensary of San Francisco's Apothecarium.

"SideCar is able to power the on-demand economy, and medical marijuana is an example of all kinds of products we can deliver," Sunil Paul, SideCar co-founder and CEO, said. "The motivation is also that it's high profile."
