Dany Lefebvre has a sleek, modern production facility set up near Drummondville, Que. with a state-of-the art ventilation system, heat lamps and high security.

All he needs now is the green light from the new Liberal government to grow marijuana in it.

"We know they'll have four years," Lefebvre said from the headquarters of Vert Médical in St-Lucien, 130 kilometres east of Montreal.

"In my opinion, it'll definitely be implemented in that time."

Lefebvre is among many entrepreneurs across Canada eagerly awaiting a Liberal proposal to legalize marijuana become reality.

He has close to 40 hectares of land primed for planting hemp.  In addition, he hopes to grow high-quality marijuana in his indoor facility.

How You Can Get Paid $3,000+ A Week To Smoke Weed

There is a lot of myth and misconception out there about the use of marijuana and while if you abuse it there can be bad side effects, the same rings true for alcohol, prescription drugs, cheeseburgers and just about anything else on the planet.

Marijuana is now being widely accepted as having medicinal properties and even the mainstream media are starting to accept that it is not just something for teenage no hopers, who want to spend all of their waking hours getting baked.

Online physician training now available for New York's medical marijuana program

With less than three months to go until the launch of New York’s medical marijuana program, the State Department of Health on Tuesday announced it has launched an online education course for health practitioners.

The four-hour course is designed for physicians in good standing who wish to issue “certifications” to allow patients to receive medical marijuana products.

Dr. Howard Zucker, state health commissioner, said the course materials will give practitioners information to consider when determining which patients may benefit from medical marijuana.

Ohio You Decide 2015: Marijuana issues on ballot explained

CLEVELAND - In two weeks, you will decide at the polls whether to legalize marijuana in Ohio.

So, do you know exactly what you'll be deciding?

Supporters say a "yes" vote means you'll be voting to control what's already here.

"Marijuana prohibition has failed," says Ian James, the Executive Director of Responsible Ohio, the group behind the legalization push.

"You can get marijuana delivered to your door faster than you can a pizza," he says, "so we need to regulate, test, and tax marijuana.

But opponents says legalization would increase use of pot among teens, and lead to more people being addicted to drugs.

And they also question the way the proposal would limit who could grow pot for legal sale in Ohio.

Proposed Ban On Marijuana Clubs Is Bad For Alaska

There is a place near my house that is extremely popular. It’s basically a recreation center for marijuana consumers. It started out just being for Oregon medical marijuana patients, but with the implementation of Measure 91, anyone over 21 years old with a valid ID can get in now. The place has ping pong, Foosball, board games, karaoke night, bingo night, and just about everything else that you could imagine other than arcade games. The place was very popular prior to Oregon Measure 91 taking effect, and is exponentially more popular now.

ResponsibleOhio fired the actress who dressed up as Buddie the marijuana superhero shortly after she expressed safety concerns and suffered an off-the-job foot injury.

“I wasn’t treated fairly at all. They never gave me a reason behind letting me go. We had had a meeting where I had expressed some concerns, yes, but they informed me that everything would be OK and my job would still be intact, and everything would be fine,” Buford told the Dayton Daily News. “They next thing I know, I get a phone call, and they informed me, ‘We decided to go a different way.’”

Welcome to Pueblo, Colorado: the 'pot rush' town for the marijuana industry

In cars stuffed with clothes, boxes and furniture precariously tied to car roofs, they come to sit patiently in waiting rooms at social service agencies, in soup kitchens and motels.

They’ve made it to Pueblo, Colorado, a city of just over 100,000 where recreational marijuana sales became legal in 2014.

The new arrivals aren’t on a so-called “weedcation” to visit the swath of new pot shops and spots with weed-tasting menus, which are now sprinkled throughout the state. Instead, they hope to settle and make a new life in the pot industry.

A Look Inside One Suburban Medical Marijuana Company

Lombard native Dan Scheidt opened his first medical marijuana dispensary eight years ago in Boulder, Colorado.

At that time, his business was one of only five in the city of 150,000. In the next eight years, the number of dispensaries would grow to 54 in the city, forcing Scheidt to close his first business. He was most recently working as the manager of another dispensary in Boulder when his father sent him a newspaper article about a medical marijuana business opening closer to his hometown.
