Can This Marijuana Give Women Better Sex?

One night last year, Karyn Wagner, founder of Paradigm Medical Marijuana, smoked a joint before having sex with her partner — a fairly unremarkable move in terms of foreplay, but this time the results were something special. “After I smoked this one,” she remembers, “I said, You know, honey, that was perfect. Save it for next time.” Her partner dutifully labeled the bag “Sexpot." And inspiration struck.

Sexxpot, derived from a low-THC strain called Mr. Nice, has been grown, packaged, and branded (with an extra x) by Wagner’s company as an "aphrodisiac weed" — the first to specifically target women.

Marijuana use in Israel for recreational purposes could become a reality if a recently-elected, first-term politician has his way. Freshman MK Yinon Magal of the Jewish Home party recently proposed the legislation, the Times of Israel reported, and he will likely have the strong support of his constituents and fellow lawmakers.

Marijuana candies make their first appearance in Sarnia-Lambton

The first police seizure of marijuana candies in Sarnia got a man fined $800 in Sarnia court.

Vencel Ronald Petrany, 20, of Sarnia pleaded guilty Wednesday to the Jan. 8 possession of tetrahydrocannabinol for trafficking.

A police officer confronted Petrany who had been drifting – the controlled sliding of a vehicle – in a high school parking lot. The officer asked for Petrany's driver's licence. Petrany opened the centre console to get his licence and the officer saw a bag with numerous smaller bags inside that contained what appeared to be red candies.

Petrany said he had been given the candies and they might be the hallucinogenic stimulant ecstasy.

Tests showed the candies were tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active ingredient in marijuana.

Medical marijuana proposal in Costa Rica gets Health Ministry review

The Costa Rican Health Ministry outlined its expert opinion on a pending bill to legalize marijuana and hemp for medical and industrial use in Costa Rica. On Tuesday, the Health Ministry outlined how the medical marijuana bill would be implemented with some restrictions for users.

Ruling Citizen Action Party (PAC) lawmaker Marvin Atencio presented a bill in August 2014 that would legalize the growing, processing and sale of cannabis for medical and industrial use. Costa Rica would be the first country in Central America to legalize medical marijuana if lawmakers decide to pass the proposal.

The rise of cannabis oils has been one of the biggest and most surprising drivers of the total cannabis industry. Cannabis oils, related consumer devices, and derivative edibles now take up a good portion of the retail space in your typical dispensary in legal-use states, such as Washington.

London Cannabistro: cannabis restaurant to pop-up in Peckham park

London’s latest pop-up has high ideas, says Ben Norum

London loves a novelty pop-up but its latest marks a new high. Literally.

The rather excellently named Cannabistro will launch in a park near Peckham at the end of the month, serving a menu themed around getting high on weed.

It’s less sketchy than it first sounds, though. It’s a collaboration between catering company Grub London (grublondon.co.uk) and supperclub booking site Grub Club (grubclub.com), there are no joints involved, it’s entirely legal and the venue is an ornate former Victorian library in Burgess Park.

Ben Stein's Diary: Marijuana is a Cancer

ISIS couldn’t have invented a more disabling weapon.

Sunday–Last Day of May
Rancho Mirage. It is so unbelievably hot here it’s well, it’s unbelievable. That’s how hot it is. 106 degrees with no breeze at all.

I am not at all sure why we are even here, but the son of a close relative is visiting and he had expressed an interest in playing golf. We have a super course here at the Club at Morningside and we might have played a few holes but it’s far too hot now. It is heat stroke, sunstroke weather. Cruel.

Marijuana and hemp growers duke it out in Oregon Legislature

Depending on who's talking, a 20-acre hemp farm about 10 miles south of Grants Pass is either the harbinger of a new industry that could help save rural Oregon – or an existential threat to local marijuana farmers just as they're anticipating boom times.

Hemp, the non-intoxicating version of cannabis sativa, has long been a big part of the marijuana culture, celebrated for its wide variety of uses and status as a fellow victim of federal prohibition.

But now that both hemp and marijuana are coming out of the legal shadows in Oregon, they're suddenly in conflict – and state legislators may be about to side with the much more well-established marijuana industry.

How Texas Became a New Front in Marijuana Legalization Fight

Shortly before 10 p.m. on a Wednesday in April, Tammy Castro was describing the heartbreaking story of her son’s losing battle against drug abuse. The crowded Capitol conference room, packed with marijuana-rights activists, fell silent.

Marijuana started her son on a downward spiral to his death, Castro said, holding back tears. “If you pass this bill, you are sentencing more youth to certain death.”
