OBAMA SHOULD TAKE MARIJUANA OFF THE FORBIDDEN LIST

I’ve been quite hard on President Barack Obama for his abuse of executive power—and will soon file another brief in the 26-state challenge to his immigration action—but there are certainly things that he or any president can do to protect and secure our liberty without violating the Constitution.

This Court Case Could Give Canadians The Right To Grow Cannabis At Home

Every day, lawyer and cannabis advocate Kirk Tousaw checks his email first thing in the morning, hoping for news that he and thousands of medical marijuana patients across Canada have waited for since last May. That's when Tousaw and a team of lawyers wrapped up the Allard case, which challenges the federal prohibition against growing small amounts of cannabis for personal use.

The e-mail he's waiting for is the notice that a decision has been reached, and when it comes he'll race over to federal court for good news, he hopes:

Bob Marley, Bottled! A New Skin-Care Line Celebrates the Jamaican Superstar’s Legacy

The late great Jamaican reggae superstar Bob Marley had an effortless natural beauty about him. His enviable head of sun-bleached dreads fell just so; his high-wattage smile gleamed; his taut, athletic frame appeared full of soul. It was the type of vibrancy you wish you could bottle—and on the eve of what would have been his 71st birthday, Marley’s family is attempting to do just that with a new hemp seed oil–based apothecary line that bears his name.

Is Beer Afraid of Weed?

The word on the street is that the beer manufacturers are keeping a watchful eye on what is happening in the world of retail cannabis, mostly because they fear that an eruption of legalization efforts across the United States (like what it is predicted to happen in 2016) may turn the American beer drinker into a loyal stoner and eat away at the profits of its over $100 billion marketplace.

Although it may seem the cannabis industry has a long way to go before it is pulling down the kind of revenue comparable to the national brew houses, some of the latest statistics show that the business of marijuana is really not far from casting a shadow on brewers like Anheuser-Busch InBev and SABMiller, and this with only a handful of states allowing recreational pot sales.

Here are the Countries Where Marijuana Is Legal in Some Form

The global tide concerning marijuana legalization is slowly turning. Amsterdam, with its famous coffeeshops where smoking cannabis is OK, was once the international city most associated with legally smoking marijuana. But more countries are passing legislation either decriminalizing or legalizing marijuana in some form. In fact, almost half the states in the United States have legalized marijuana somehow — with more likely to follow suit.

Defining craft cannabis

Skywalker OG. Sour Diesel. LA Confidential. With dozens of different strains available to choose from, each emitting a different aroma and promising a different high, it is hard to remember that it is all just one thing — cannabis. With one ingredient served up in dozens of different ways, it can paralyze a consumer, but for a grower, it’s an innovative paradise.

“It almost feels like it’s never been done before,” says Stephen Lipton, general cultivation manager of Boulder dispensary The Farm. “I guess because it really hasn’t. Before it was a black market thing, and now that it isn’t there is a high level of experimentation and ingenuity going on that you just can’t deny anymore.”

Use of marijuana is increasing among adults but decreasing in teens

More adults are using cannabis since laws were introduced to legalize the drug, experts have revealed.

Meanwhile fewer teenagers are turning to the drug, there has been a decrease in marijuana-related arrests, but an increase in admissions for addiction treatment.

A team of scientists led by Dr Jane Maxwell from the University of Texas at Austin and Bruce Mendelson, of the Denver Office of Drug Strategy, reviewed data looking at how marijuana laws have affected rate of use of the drug.

As of June last year 23 states and the District of Columbia currently have laws legalizing marijuana in some form.

Cannabis is legal of recreational use in Washington state, Oregon, Alaska and Colorado as well as the District of Columbia.
